Sometimes things move quicker then you expect them to.  Our current home holds the six of us well. That being said we would like an extra bedroom and a yard for the kids. We were planning on putting our house on the market at the beginning of next year, but after some outside influence we have decided to go ahead and do it now.  We have had a random relator contact us wanting to put it on the market, our past relator told us we should, and the AC guy was talking to us and telling us about four different people who had recently put their houses no the market and then sold them very quickly.  I have also read that the market is as good as it was before the recession.  After hearing all these things we have decide to go ahead and give it a shot.  I am hoping that it well sell in a ridiculously short time.  I believe that God is removing obstacles and maybe even speeding up how fast we get all this started. 

Proverbs 24:27  "Prepare your work outside; get everything ready for yourself in the field, and after that build your house"

     We have bought a crib!  It was one we got locally from someone, but more important then where is that we have gotten something for someone who may or may not be born yet.  At first this seemed impulsive to me, but the more I thought on this I realized that this is a big deal.  This is Sara and I taking a step of faith towards our future adoption.  So even though we have not submitted our application yet we are trusting that this is something that God really wants us to do.  I do have to give major props to Sara as it seems that God is really guiding her on this and it was her who sought out the crib.

    It seems that as we tell people the same question comes up multiple times: why not adopt an American baby?  At first I was sort of mind boggled, because to me this was just a God thing.  He told us to adopt a baby girl from China so we are.  I had not given much thought to an American baby.  There are lots of children all over the world that need a loving home and a forever family, ours just happens to be in China.  I guess without it being you, it is hard to understand.  Maybe down the road we will look for another child that is in America but at this point we can only be faithful and follow where we believe God is leading us.  I hope that by doing this we will please God and we will open ourselves up to a part of life that we had not given much thought to before.

Jeremiah 29:11-13
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart"

   The biggest thing about adoption is getting a child.  The second biggest thing is probably the money it takes to do it.  The money in the picture is the first $33 we saved for our baby.  This was the start of all of it.  So when we bring her home we can look back and see these are the first bills we put away for her.  Currently we have enough for the application fee.  The plan is to save the first two payments and the home study and then we will get started with everything. 

   We have decided to use CCAI (http://ccaifamily.org/) as our agency.  CCAI is one of the largest agency's to work with China on adoptions.  To date they have assisted in over 11,000 adoptions!  The other night Sara and I listened in on a call with Sarah Harmon and Rev. Josh Zhong.  Sarah works with the waiting child program(http://ccaifamily.org/WaitingChild/Default.aspx) and Rev. Zhong is the co-founder and president of CCAI.  How awesome is it that we spoke with the guy who started it all?  They were very friendly and helpful on the call and really helped us know that this was the agency for us.  The most exciting part of all that has happened recently is that I can see it all coming together over the horizon.  Some of the obstacles we thought we were going to have are not looking so tough now.  God is doing some amazing things in this.  May He be glorified forever!
